Our Baby Milk Program provides life-giving infant formula for babies in their first year. When a baby’s mother has died, or if the mother is unable to breastfeed, this program provides the nourishment that the young child needs to develop normally. After beginning the program in 2009, over 75 babies have been on the formula program.

We are able to purchase the infant formula in Papua New Guinea in quantity from a medical supply company. Our cost per can, including airfreight to our remote location, is USD $25.00. We use an average of over 40 cans per month.
Little tiny baby
The babies are weighed and examined on a regular basis to monitor their progress. Once they reach one year of age and are able to eat solid food, they are discharged from the program.
