I got saved when I was 13 years old. The oldest of four boys, I always knew what it meant to be “in church when the doors were open.” When I was 17, God burdened my heart for the mission field and I surrendered to do whatever He would have me do. I had my pilot’s license with an instrument rating, and if doing His will meant leaving that behind, it was up to Him. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” My heart was fixed on flying, yet He wanted me to be reaching souls for Him. In 1999, I got married to Becky and a year later we had Ariel. Still in Bible college, I decided to go ahead and start deputation for Papua New Guinea. After graduating in 2002, we started full-time deputation and fourteen months later, we arrived on the field. God has also blessed us with two healthy girls. My heart still has a desire to fly, yet it will come in His timing. In the mean time, He has given me some new desires.
