This is why we are here.Jack Naudi (my language helper) and I went for a walk to see some villages to our north on Monday, July 6. On the way, we met this old lady (Nkiru—pronounced “n-key-due”) sitting on the side of the trail. I greeted her in the Kamea language, and she lit up (having one of the white people talk to you is a treat for the older folks).
